In a country as densely populated as Belgium, finding some calm and quiet is not a simple task.  Mainly because nature is not something we have all around. Luckily more and more nature preserves are being established, but the area they cover is small to say the least. So when you go there, often they are very crowded because it seems everybody wants to go back to nature in some form or other.

If you want quiet and calm, you go there when nobody is around and this means either very early or very late. This image was taken very early in the morning and to me it signifies a lot. It shows me there is natural beauty in my own area and quiet and calm can be found as long as you look hard enough for it.  The fog gives it an extra dimension as if it hides the secret to beauty and calm because once it disappears other people start showing up and the calm is gone.
